Megyn Kelly is calling for fans to “boycott” Taylor Swift after the singer attended a Gaza fundraising event with her friend Selena Gomez during the Israel-Hamas war.
Kelly criticized Swift for going to comedian Ramy Youssef’s show in Brooklyn on December 8, which raised money for the American Near East Refugee Aid (Anera). Kelly discussed this on her SiriusXM show, saying that NGO Monitor, a Jerusalem-based organization, views Anera as “highly political” and biased against Israel.
Kelly said that Swift should apologize to Israelis and Jewish Americans for supporting this cause. She also hopes that Swift’s fans will boycott her events until she makes an apology.

Kelly criticized Taylor Swift for attending a Gaza fundraiser, saying the charity supports an organization that allegedly ignores Palestinian issues and contributes to negative views of Israel.
Kelly said, “Attending this event was wrong. Look up what happens in Gaza to LGBTQ people and women’s rights, Taylor.” She then gestured for Swift to stay silent on these issues, stating, “You clearly know nothing.”
Page Six has asked Swift’s representative for a comment.
Anera’s website states that the nonprofit “does not work or coordinate with” Hamas, which is designated as a “terrorist group” by the US Department of State.
Kelly thinks Taylor Swift should apologize to Israelis and Jewish Americans.
Other celebrities at the event included Cara Delevingne, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Zoë Kravitz.
Swift, who has 278 million Instagram followers and was named Time’s Person of the Year, has faced criticism for not speaking out after the October 7 Hamas attack on Israeli civilians, which resulted in over 1,200 deaths, 240 kidnappings, and many cases of sexual violence.
Swift’s bodyguard even reportedly returned to Israel to serve in the Israeli Defense Forces during the conflict.
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez went to a comedy show supporting Anera. Many fans took to social media to comment on Swift’s attendance at the event.
The StopAntisemitism organization tweeted, “Since October 7th, Taylor Swift has not mentioned the massacre in Israel by Hamas terrorists. Her bodyguard, who protects her, went to Israel to serve in the IDF. But Swift found time to attend a Gaza fundraiser with Selena Gomez. When will she support Israel?”
One Twitter user said, “I can’t believe it. I was a huge Swift fan, but now I’ve lost all respect for her. I’m so disappointed.”
Kelly also suggested that fans should “boycott” Taylor Swift.
One user sarcastically commented on a video showing Hamas terrorists stealing a UN aid truck, saying, “I’m sure Selena Gomez’s fundraising will help.”
Another user pointed out that one of the victims of the massacre, who was missing for over a month, was a Swift fan. They said many fans and even Israel’s official account reached out to Taylor Swift for help, but she ignored them.
One more person added, “Not my Person of the Year!”
The fundraiser was a comedy show by Ramy Youssef. Social media influencer Lindsay Pinchuk criticized Swift’s attendance, saying in a viral Instagram video that it could increase hate and antisemitism against Jewish people.
However, some people defended Swift, arguing that she has the right to support Palestinians suffering during the war. One person tweeted, “I always loved her songs. Now I’m proud to be a Swiftie!”
Another person said, “What a sad, pathetic take, Megyn. She attended a comedy show to support humanitarian efforts in Gaza, where many have died. She also donated $1 million to tornado relief efforts in Tennessee, but you don’t mention that.”
Someone else added, “I think anyone blindly supporting either side owes an apology. Both sides have problems.”
Kelly had previously criticized Gigi Hadid for spreading misinformation about the Israeli government during the conflict.
Swift’s bodyguard reportedly served in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) after the October 7 attack.
In November, Megyn Kelly criticized model Gigi Hadid, calling her an “idiot” and suggesting she should focus on her modeling career instead of commenting on political issues. Hadid, 28, had posted an apology after being criticized for a deleted Instagram post accusing Israel of severe human rights abuses against Palestinians for years.
Hadid, the co-host of “Next in Fashion,” has nearly 79 million Instagram followers, which is more than five times the worldwide Jewish population.
