Bullies made fun of her “disgusting” legs, but then she shared a close-up photo and shut them up.

I believe everyone deserves love and respect, no matter how they look. Unfortunately, some people enjoy bullying and putting others down. Jacqueline Adan met some of these bullies recently, but she had a response that shut them up.

Jacqueline Adan from America struggled with her weight for a long time and at one point weighed over 500 pounds (220 kg).

However, she changed her eating habits and started exercising.

Now, she has lost more than 350 pounds (150 kg), which is amazing!

When you lose weight quickly, your skin doesn’t shrink to fit your new size and can become loose. This happened to Jacqueline. As she lost weight, her skin got looser.

At first, Jacqueline was worried about how the loose skin, especially on her legs, looked. But she decided not to let it bother her and continued living her life as usual.

After losing so much weight, Jacqueline finally felt comfortable wearing a bathing suit on vacation for the first time in a long time.

But at the hotel pool, she encountered some bullies. A couple there started laughing at her legs and pointing at her.

Jacqueline later wrote a powerful post on Instagram about what happened. She included close-up photos of her legs and wrote, “It does not matter what others say. That’s ok. Love your body.”

Her post got over 30,000 likes and lots of supportive comments quickly.

I hope her bullies see it because it would shut them up and make them realize how wrong they were. Check this out!

“When we were on vacation in Mexico a few weeks ago, it was the first time I had worn a bathing suit in a long time, and even longer since I wore one without a cover-up.”

“I was nervous about taking off my cover-up and walking into the pool or on the beach. I still felt like that 500-pound girl… then it happened.

A couple sitting by the pool started laughing, pointing at me, and making fun of me as soon as I took off my cover-up.”

So what did I do? I took a deep breath, smiled, and walked into the pool. That was a big moment for me. I had changed.

I wasn’t the same girl anymore. Yes, I still have a lot of loose skin. I may still feel insecure sometimes, and yes, people might still make fun of me.

“To be honest, yes, it bothered me. But I wasn’t going to let people like that affect me anymore!

I’m not going to let what others think of me stop me from living my life.”

“They don’t know me. They don’t know how hard I’ve worked to lose 350 pounds or that I’m recovering from major surgeries.

They have no right to point and laugh at me. That’s why I smiled.”

“It doesn’t matter what others say or if they try to doubt or bring you down.

What matters is how you handle it and how you feel about yourself. Loving yourself just the way you are can be tough.”

“Others might not like it, and that’s okay. I hope you love yourself and your body. Keep being yourself and keep smiling!”
